## How fresh the prices are

SockOdds pulls from its odds pipeline about every 2 minutes. Every bookmaker price carries a timestamp (`lastUpdatedAt` when we saw the price itself, `snapshotUpdatedAt` otherwise), and a price not seen for 45 minutes is served as unavailable rather than current. [How fresh are our prices?](https://sockodds.com/docs/info/freshness/) sets out the fields and thresholds, and how to check them on each response.

## How billing differs

**PuntersEdge:** Credits per call: a sports odds request costs 1 credit per market type (up to 3); credits reset on the 1st of each month and do not roll over [[1]](#src-1).

**SockOdds:** Per event object: one event with every market and bookmaker your plan includes counts as one object. Requests are also limited per minute, by plan ([pricing](https://sockodds.com/pricing/)).

On PuntersEdge a sports odds call for head to head, line and total is 3 credits. On SockOdds a call counts one object per game it returns, with every market in it, player props and alternate lines included.

## How to switch

The request you make to PuntersEdge today [[2]](#src-2):

```bash
curl "https://puntersedge.online/api/v1/sports/nrl/odds" \
  -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_PUNTERSEDGE_KEY"
```

The same request to SockOdds:

```bash
curl "https://api.sockodds.com/v2/events/?leagueID=NRL&oddsAvailable=true&oddID=points-home-game-ml-home,points-home-game-sp-home,points-all-game-ou-over&includeOpposingOdds=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY"
```

Sport keys become `leagueID`s (`nrl` is `NRL`, `afl` is `AFL`) and the market list becomes oddIDs. SockOdds covers sports only, so keep PuntersEdge, or another racing feed, for racing.
