Protecting your personal information is our priority. This Privacy Policy applies to the SockOdds website (sockodds.com) and API and governs data collection and usage. SockOdds provides an API for sports odds and related data. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Collection of your personal information

To provide the Service we may collect personal information such as your name, email address and, for paid plans, billing details (collected by our payment processor, not stored by us). You may be asked for personal information when you request an API key, contact us, apply to the partner program, or change a subscription. Public channels are public: anything you post there may be collected and used by others.

Use of your personal information

We use personal information to operate and deliver the Service you request — issuing keys, metering and billing usage, answering support requests — and to inform you of changes to the Service or your plan.

Sharing information with third parties

We do not sell, rent or lease personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of users or the public.

Requesting data or account deletion

Ask us to delete your account and key at any time via api@sockodds.com. We deactivate the key immediately and delete associated personal information within 30 days, except records we must retain for billing, legal or security reasons.

Tracking user behaviour

We keep server logs (client address, path, status, timing) for 30 days for security, abuse prevention and metering. We do not track the end users of your product and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Automatically collected information

Requests to the API and the site automatically record the client address, user agent, the resource requested and timing. This information is used to operate and secure the Service and to understand aggregate usage.

Use of cookies

The site uses no tracking cookies. The account and explorer pages keep your API key in your browser only for the current page; nothing is persisted or transmitted other than to our API when you press send.

Links

This site links to bookmakers, responsible-gambling services and third-party tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; read their policies.

Security of your personal information

We store only a hash of your API key, never the key itself; transport is TLS; access to production systems is restricted and logged. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Email communications

We email you about your key, your plan and material changes to the Service or these policies. We do not send marketing email without consent, and you can unsubscribe from any non-transactional message.

External data storage

Data may be stored and processed on cloud infrastructure in Australia and, for some providers, overseas (including the United States). Where information is disclosed overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy; the date above changes when we do. Material changes are announced by email to account holders.
